My narration is a mess. There are so many issues that I can't keep track of them. I have tried installing 6.0 on another computer but nothing helps.

I think I got it working by importing using 5.7 and then using 6.0 to perform the conversion.

When I tried to record narration using 6.0, my computer froze and I had to use the Task Manager to exit PowerPoint. Files created on 5.7 with imported narration and converted using 6.0 did not include the narration but did include the synchronization.

I could not import narration using 6.0. I got so frustrated that I tried imbedding sound using PowerPoint which is ok but synchronization of sound using PPT is beyond my pay grade.

Maybe my computer is a mess. I have a 64-bit computer with Office 2010 and 2007 both installed. Apparently, 2007 is 32-bit. I don't know what 2010 is, probably 64-bit since it came with the machine and I activated it when I bought the 3-install version of Office 2010. I kept 2007 so I have two active versions of office on this machine.

I uninstalled Ispring 6.0 beta and reinstalled the 64-bit version. It wouldn't work saying I had the 32-bit version of Office. I uninstalled and re-installed Ispring 6.0 beta, 32-bit version. All is well when I use PPT 2007 but Ispring 6.0 beta is not available when using PPT 2010.

That is really fine since I see little difference between 2007 and 2010 except for a few ease-of-use features. Transitions unique to 2010 are picked up with I convert using 2007. Also Ispring 5.x still works fine with PPT 2010 and 2007. I don't understand what is going on but I can live with it.

I will try it on my presentation laptop which is 64-bit has only Office 2010 and see what happens. For now, I will design using PPT 2010 and convert using Ispring Pro using PPT 2007.

I am happy. Thanks for the prompt-private email advising me (correctly) what to do.
