It seems as though when you group objects together, it causes FlashSpring Pro (2.1.8) to rasterize the object rather than leaving it in its native form.

The two swfs here were created from the same PPT file (two autoshape arrow objects). The only difference is Presentation1.swf has 2 objects, Presentation2.swf has the 2 autoshape objects grouped together. Notice the significant loss of quality.

Is this a known issue? Is it fixable? It's really destroying some PowerPoints on me!

Hi Dmeglio,

Thanks for your message.

Yes, this is the known issue. Current version of FlashSpring Pro converts grouped PowerPoint objects into rasterized images but very soon the quality of grouped objects conversion will be greatly improved. Upcoming FlashSpring Pro 2.2 will include new technology of grouped objects processing and all grouped objects will be converted into vector graphics.

Thank you!
I will be glad to answer your further questions.

Sounds great. Is there any release date for that? Also, will upgrade be free or will there be an additional cost?

Dear Dominick,

It will take about 3 weeks to finish our work at FlashSpring Pro 2.2. Besides grouped objects conversion into vector graphics, this version will include support of synchronization of animations and sounds and animated GIFs.

According to our upgrade policy, a user who purchased FlashSpring Pro license is entitled to free upgrade to the next minor release. E.g., if a client purchased FlashSpring Pro 2.0, they can receive FlashSpring Pro 2.1 for free. But upgrade to FlashSpring Pro 2.2 will not be free for them. The upgrade to FlashSpring Pro 2.2 for the users who purchased FlashSpring Pro 2.0 will be $19. You can know more about FlashSpring Upgrade Policy here:

Thank you!
