Hi,

I need to skip hidden slides, so I'm trying to do it from Java:

PresentationConverterFactory pcFactory = new PresentationConverterFactory();
try
{
PresentationConverter converter = pcFactory.createPresentationConverter();

converter.openPresentation(pptFile);

Presentation p = converter.getPresentation();

Settings ss = converter.getSettings();

ss.getAppearanceSettings().setFullScreen(true);
ss.getAppearanceSettings().setScreenHeight(1024);
ss.getAppearanceSettings().setScreenWidth(1280);
ss.getAppearanceSettings().setImageOptimizationForScreenResolution(true);
ss.getAppearanceSettings().setScreenWidth(480);

ss.getMediaSettings().setImageQuality(95);
ss.getNavigationSettings().enableHyperlinks(false);

converter.setLicenseName("***");
converter.setLicenseNumber("***");

p.setWidth(480);
p.setHeight(360);

List<Integer> slides = new ArrayList<Integer>();
for(Slide s : p.getSlides())
if(!s.isHidden()) slides.add(s.getIndex());

converter.generateSolidPresentation( swfFile, null, slides );

converter.closePresentation();
}
catch( Exception e )
{
e.printStackTrace();
}
finally
{
pcFactory.release();
}

System.exit( 0 );
}

So when I run this code my jvm crushes on line pcFactory.release();.

I tryed to run it on jre 1.5.0_06 and 1.6, in both cases getting same result :

#
# An unexpected error has been detected by HotSpot Virtual Machine:
#
# EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION (0xc0000005) at pc=0x006d0065, pid=5960, tid=5376
#
# Java VM: Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (1.5.0_06-b05 mixed mode, sharing)
# Problematic frame:
# C 0x006d0065
#
# An error report file with more information is saved as hs_err_pid5960.log
#
# If you would like to submit a bug report, please visit:

#

But if I commet out lines :

//for(Slide s : p.getSlides())
//if(!s.isHidden()) slides.add(s.getIndex());

and change

converter.generateSolidPresentation( swfFile, null, "" );

it works fine!

Any ideas what i'm doing wrong?

Regards,
Gatis

Hi Gatis,

This is a known issue and it will be fixed in the next minor release of iSpring SDK.
