Hi forum,
I'm looking for answers to the following questions: Sorry if they are simple, but I'm a complete novice to iSprings and authoring.

1. Can I make impressive PPT presentations with iSpring (using quiz formats, voice-over/cam video, etc.) and play them through my laptop using PPT or another media. My goal is to create eLearning tool and to use these for training in class-room setting utilizing a data-show on to a screen? I'm a training in class-rooms settings?
2. Any manuals like iSpring Suite for Dummies at there you can recommend?
3. Where can I go to find a mentor... I believe if I had someone to walk me through the basics I'm sharp enough to build quickly upon that learning... it is just that every thing is new.

Also you can convert your courses to video and display them in the classroom.

How do I publish it to my computer? If I do this will I then be able to present it with PowerPoint 13 in Slideshow mode... with quizzes working, voice-overs, etc.?

If I publish it as a video will it play like a streaming video? Will it pause for quiz question?

Did I purchase the wrong product for presenting engaging training in class-room settings?

1. Click to Publish
2. Go to Web tab
3. Type in the Presentation title
4. Click on Browse and select a folder on your computer
5. Look at the Output options. Here you can choose the format to which you would like to publish your course.
We recommend you to use Combined (Flash+HTML5) format.
6. Click Publish.

If you publish the presentation with quizzes and interactions to video, they will be shown only as a preview.
In order to keep them interactive please use HTML5, Flash or .exe format.

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!
This is the level of detail I needed. I would not have thought of using Web tab to publish to my desktop for presenting. It worked perfectly! Thanks for the boost in confidence. You're Awesome.

Can you help me with integrating a webcam into the slide versus playing in the side panel?

Glad to hear that!
Do you mean inserting a video from the webcam?
You can do it with our Narration Editor.

1. Click on Manage Narration at the iSpring ribbon

Image

2. Then choose Import video

3. Navigate to your video file

4. Choose where you want to insert the video clip:
- In the beginning of the current slide
- At cursor position
- After existing clips

5. Click Open to import the file.
It would be added to the timeline.

That worked, but not what I was looking to accomplish. I was hoping to merge my face in the webcam into the slide and not on the side. There are two way arrows that reverse the webcam face from the right side to the center, but also for the slide to the right. Can the webcam video be shrunk in size and overlaid on to the slide? Hopefully I being clear?

Thanks,
Jim

@jeltrainer
Could you please illustrate by screenshots what result you want to get?
Doesn't the PowerPoint's built-in Insert Video option work for you?

Here you can find an article about this option:

@jeltrainer

Thank you for the link!
You can import video into the slide with standard PowerPoint Insert -> Video option.

I'm also glad to tell that soon we are going to release new iSpring Suite 8 with new VideoLecture Player.
Here you can read more about it:

That is cool. Can I - as the video showed - customize my background for a webcam so it appears I'm recording it somewhere else?
See the first minute of this click to show what I'm asking.

@jeltrainer

You can create a video on the transparent background with any external utility software and insert it to your presentations and then convert it with iSpring.
