I am using ColdFusion (running on top of IIS) on Windows 7 to use the iSpring SDK.

The error I get is this

The cause of this exception was that: java.lang.RuntimeException: Can not use native code: Initialisation failed

My code is really simple.

<cfset objIspring = createObject("COM","iSpring.PresentationConverter")>
<cfdump var = "#objiSpring#">

any ideas what could I be doing wrong ?

I'll bet you are using ColdFusion 64-bit. CF x64 cannot call 32-bit COM objects. The suggestions I have seen posted in various places say to install a parallel CF 32-bit installation and call the COM object from there.
