When I try to put a flash video in powerpoint, all I get is a blob at the top of the slide. I have tried different formats but to no avail. Is there something I am doing wrong, Is there a tutorial, etc?

Could you please specify what do you mean by "flash video"? What is the actual format of the file?

Here you can find detailed instructions on how to insert Flash file (.swf) into the presentation:

It is an SWF Adobe Flash file. I have since found that the flash file may be on the slide but can't be scene until the powerpoint is shown. This is a hassle.

Yes, when you insert a flash file, first it will look like white box. But it should be working fine after conversion.

Please let me know if you were able to resolve this issue.
