Installed iSpring SDK on Windows 7.

The command line interface works fine when run under administrator account, but when I try to execute the same command in a web page (PHP shell_exec function) I get an error "Failed to open presentation".

I run PHP under Zend Server (Apache2 + PHP 5.3) and got the same error with the COM component, even with Apache service running under administrator account !

The .ppt source file is readable by everyone and I see ispringsdk.exe and powerpnt.exe processus running when the web page is loaded, all of these running under administrator account.

Help will be precious. Thanx.

Marc

Hi, thank you for posting here.

We can suppose that the issue is caused by the following reason: there is a peculiarity of PowerPoint itself that a user who launches conversion must have "Desktop" folder in their system profile. This folder is missing in Windows Server 2008 and Windows 7, so you have to create it at the following path:

C:\Windows\SysWOW64\config\systemprofile\Desktop (for Windows 64 bit)
or
C:\Windows\System32\config\systemprofile\Desktop (for 32 bit)
