When publishing to our web server via FTP the folder name gets " (Web)" added to it.
Can that be turned off?

It's simply unnecessary and we don't want it, and don't want to have to change the folder name manually.

Why? Because this: StanTestingiSpringPro7 (Web)
Becomes this: StanTestingiSpringPro7%20%28Web%29

It's ugly and not easy for people to enter into the address bar.

Thank you,
Stan

Thanks for reporting this.

This is a feature intended to avoid a conflict for those users who are publishing to a local folder (as is most often the case) which happens to be in the same location as the original presentation (and its data folder of the same name).

I'm unaware of any option currently available to bypass this feature, so I'll submit a feature request to include such a bypass, at least in the FTP options.

Well perhaps a better solution would be, when using FTP to upload a presentation, allow the full folder name to be put into "Folder on FTP server" field. The default (first time use) would be what you use now, the project name with (Web) appended. And if it is changed by the user then that is remembered as a setting.

That way you can publish to any desire folder on the FTP/Server site, without it having to match the publication name or folder name on the local machine.

Dear Stan,
there's actually an easy solution for you, you can just modify the language.xml file, which is stored on the computer with iSpring Pro installed (C:\Program Files\iSpring\Pro 7\lng).

You should modify three lines in the file, so they look like this:

<message id="IDS_FOLDER_SUFFIX_CD"></message>
<message id="IDS_FOLDER_SUFFIX_LMS"></message>
<message id="IDS_FOLDER_SUFFIX_WEB"></message>

Please note that you should restart PowerPoint after these changes are applied. Please also note that when you get software upgrade, you should make sure that the file doesn't change to default.
