The problem seems to be related to the security restrictions of your Adobe Flash Player on Safari preventing Flash movie from communicating with the Internet when it is launched from a local file system. Flash files running locally have access to local files and, thus, are usually restricted from accessing Internet resources (opening hyperlinks is also a sending the information to the Internet) to keep private information.
When you place Flash presentation in the Internet you will be able to open hyperlinks (Internet Flash files do not have access to local file system structure).
