Evaluate your training with Kirkpatrick

Hi all,

My short course will introduce you to the Kirkpatrick model of training evaluation and it will help you create the evaluation plan for your learning initiatives.

I created it for current & aspiring L&D professionals who want to start measuring the impact of their courses/ training.

  • Andreea Nicoleta , this course so nice! Love the open navigation. (:

How did you do a state change in PowerPoint with the icons when visiting a section and returning to the menu? Super cool!

    • Thanks, Jordan! I also enjoyed your course (especially as a coffee lover :D).

To change the state, I created 2 sets of icons: one black and the other green. Then I added triggered animations:

      • when the learner clicks on the black icon (trigger):
        • the green icon appears ("appear" animation) &
        • the black icon disappears ("disappear" animation)

In addition, you need to make sure that the box "Save slide animation state" in "Player" - "Navigation" is checked.

I like how it works even if it has some limitations:

      • it only works if you click on a "Back" button with a hyperlink to the slide, it doesn't work if you go back to the slide from the course outline and
      • the animations are not saved if you go back to previous slides and retake the course for example.

This is what my slide with the animations looks like:

      Hope this is useful. :)

    • Andreea Nicoleta Trif Ohhhh nifty! I wish Powerpoint and iSpring had a true state change system with triggers where the section icon would change color when the section is completed (on another slide) rather than clicking there. But what you did is a super efficient way of handling it! (: Thanks so much for sharing!
