CyberlabTeens-English as a Foreign Language Program
Hi there! I had a great time putting together this online English as a Foreign language module for teenage junior high learners to practice English on their own or in the classroom.

This online module for practicing English was made for the Ministry of Education in Costa Rica during my Sabbatical period at the University of Costa Rica. Through CyberlabTeens, students will get to learn and practice English in an interactive and integrated way (Listening, reading, grammar, vocabulary, and speaking). I tried to use as many features from iSpring Suite Max as possible:
- Dialog simulations
- Interactive vocabulary knowledge (drag-and drop exercises, etc)
- Interactive assessments (All kinds of question types)
- Gamification
- Branching scenarios (introductions in English)
- Text-to-speech
Not being an instructional designer myself (a plain Teacher of English), I tried to use the best practices of instructional design and the best eLearning methods of learning and practicing a second/foreign language.

Dr. Quesada really knows what he is doing, and has created a truly revolutionarily innovative method for effectively teaching the English language. He has eliminated the natural barrier of prior knowledge through the employment of national themes in the design of the course, creating something that is truly unique and useful for the Costa Rican people and people throughout the world. Apropos, it is worth noting that Dr. Quesada, in his research, continues to improve methods of teaching and the application of technology.
