I have successfully passed the student's email and name using the following URL format.

It works fine. The problem is that the html that (apparently) formats the screen size is skipped and the the quiz does not look right on the screen.

4:3 slides leave a lot of black space. 16:9 slides and 16:10 slides look better but are still leave black space. The best I can do is ask the user to press the F11 key to get a reasonable screen appearance.

Take a look for yourself (the email and name were invented). This short presentation was created using 16:10 aspect ratio. It looks as if the side bar hugs the side of the screen and the slide uses whatever it needs. Whatever is left over is black. ...

There must be some way to pass the user information AND format the screen using the html code.

Please unckeck Fullscreen playback in order to produce presentation without empty stripes in the viewer. However, you will have this empty space outside the player though, due to the fact that browser takes a significant part of the vertical dimension.

Your idea did not work. I do not check the Full Screen mode. Here are some screen shots of my settings. ... 222223.jpg

Any other ideas? I would love for this to work.
