Hi there,
I'm trying to create a scene where a user can click on the button and the pdf document opens. My publishing output is LMS > Output > Combined (HTML + flash)
However, when I click on the button to check the resultant output,a new tab in the browser opens and it throws an error with file not found and other errors included as such "Check the file name for capitalization or other typing errors."
"Check to see if the file was moved, renamed or deleted."
attaching a snapshot of the same. Also attaching the test project file along with this.

Hope to hear from someone soon, this has been an issue going on forever.

Regards.

Hello!
Thank you for your inquiry!
I would recommend using the Resources option to add some files (e.g. PDF document) to your presentation. This way your files will be added to the presentation and viewers will be able to view or download them by clicking on the resources tab of the iSpring player and choosing the file from the list of attachements.

Here's the instruction on how to add files to resources of the presentation using the Resources option.
Though, if you would like some PDF document to be viewed directly on the slide you can use the Web Object option. Choose the Local Path option in the drop-down menu and browse your computer for the PDF file you want to embed into the slide.

Once you add it, you will see the image refering to the Web Object appear on the slide. By adjusting its size you can change the size of the area where the PDF document will be viewed on a slide.
It's not possible to preview PDF document via standard PowerPoint preview but once you publish your presentation with iSpring you will be able to view that PDF document right on the slide.
Here's some info on how the Web Object option work:

I hope that this information will be of use to you. If any question comes up or you run into some troubles please feel free to send us a message to support@ispringsolutions.com.

Hello Michael,
Thank you for your kind response.
I tried the solution given by you.. but upon execution, the pdf takes the entire space on the main slide and expands automatically without any trigger.

What i am looking for is to call the PDF file / Embed the pdf file in separate slide which gets triggered on click of a certain shape button.

The most important thing is, i want it to get included in the project folder like other embedded medias, so that, when i publish the content in scorm package, i have it in my source data. I want the pdf calling function to work on standalone desktop..

In short, Looking for a button to trigger the expansion of PDF on trigger in a separate slide on a standalone computer. Kindly help me on this.

Your help is highly appreciated.

Hello!
Thank you for your response and providing me with details on how exactly you want this to work in your presentation. Though, I believe that it will be far more comfortable to continue this discussion via email as it's pretty hard to compile detailed instructions with screenshots etc. in the forum thread. I would like to ask you to send us a message to support@ispringsolutions.com so that I or one of my colleagues can better assist you with this matter.
