Hi,

"Equation Editor 3.0 is a third-party component built by Design Science (http://www.dessci.com) that was included in many versions of Office, but due to security issues with its implementation, it has been removed. For more information about the security issue, see CVE-2017-11882 | Microsoft Office Memory Corruption Vulnerability."

I tried contacting support to point out that Microsoft equation editor, which is used by iSpring quizMaker to write and render equations, has been removed by a windows update dated January 2018, consequently, quizMaker will no longer be able to incorporate equations into the quizzes. Support replied in the strangest manner so I'm posting here...

This is not a support request as much as it is a heads up since this issue is recent and would possibly be frustrating to those who are trying to incorporate equations into the quizzes and who have tried re-installing equation editor to no avail.

Regards.

Hello and thank you for posting here!

Yes, this Microsoft update is addressed in the upcoming major update.
QuizMaker 9 has a built-in equation editor.

You also can use Character Map to insert special symbols and add formulas:
