Hi,

I am a new iSpring user and I have a question about inserting rollovers (mouseovers) into a finished presentation.

I understand it is not possible to have a rollover (mouseover) in powerpoint, so I waited until after the presentation was published and then insert into the .js for each slide a short .js script to do the rollover. This works great.

Problem is that if I have to add another slide to the presentation, I have to reinsert the rollover.js I developed into every slide again, adding both the rollover code and the associated functions. I am wondering what options might exist to overcome this or at least reduce the burden?

For example, is there a way to add these rollover.js functions into the index.html file for the presentation:

Code:
mouseOverForward(image) {image._oldSrc = image.src
    image.src = "data/imgnd1.png";}
function mouseOutForward(image) { image.src = "data/imgn1.png"; }
function mouseUpForward(image) { image.src = "data/imgn1.png"; }
function mouseOverBack(image) {image._oldSrc = image.src
    image.src = "data/imgbd1.png";}
function mouseOutBack(image) { image.src = "data/imgb1.png"; }
function mouseUpBack(image) { image.src = "data/imgb1.png"; }

And then call the functions in the slide.js requiring that I would only need to change the "onclick" references to add the rollover code, onmouseover="mouseOverForward(this)" onmouseout="mouseOutForward(this)" onmouseup="mouseUpForward(this)" as seen in the sample code snippit below. This would still require editing each slide's js, but would be much easier to do then needing to include functions at end of each js slide as well.
Code:
<a id="hl0_6dccb54b" href="#" onclick="document.getElementById(\'coreSpr_13415693\').getCore().processTriggerEffect(this);document.getElementById(\'coreSpr_13415693\').getCore().gotoNextSlide();return false;"><img id="img2_6dccb54b" src="data/imgn1.png" width="36" height="33" alt="" style="left:-0.088px;top:0.045px;" onmouseover="mouseOverForward(this)" onmouseout="mouseOutForward(this)" onmouseup="mouseUpForward(this)"/><img id="img1_6dcd3340" src="data/imgn1.png" width="36" height="33" alt="" style="left:-0.088px;top:0.045px;" onmouseover="mouseOverForward(this)" onmouseout="mouseOutForward(this)" onmouseup="mouseUpForward(this)"/></a>

I have already asked the support team about this, and they are not permitted by company policy to comment on post publishing modifications to the .js code. But I thought maybe someone else in the forum could have an idea about this.

Any thoughts would be appreciated. And I'm not sure, but it seems like this could make a good add on enhancement for iSpring as well.

Is it possible for a demo link not to you?

Are you asking me to post a demo or are you saying you have a demo you want me to see?

I can provide a link that shows the rollover code I have given operating and am not opposed to making a one page presentation that contains the code I am using so that you can open up the .js associated with it and see how I have made it work.

Because I follow the code in the post but not.
I am Vietnamese. I'm not good at English, so you understand the language of presentation!
Very thank you!

I am happy to attach a demo for you.

URL to see it: http://fofcom.com/rollover_demo1/index.html

URL to download it: http://fofcom.com/rollover_demo1/RollOverDemo1.zip

You can unzip and open the slide1 and slide 2 .js to see how rollover script is done.

Please let me know if you have questions.
