The people who run our corporate LMS did some testing on a recent course and fed back a 'bug'.

There is a quiz in the course and it reports back results to the LMS even though the quiz is not used as part of the passing of the course.

I have it set to send complete/incomplete only when a number of slides are viewed.

Why is it sending quiz data to the LMS? can we turn this off?

Hi Scott,

In SCORM 1.2, if you select Rate Slides and set the status combination to Complete/Incomplete, your module should report the Complete status when you view all slides – quizzes won't matter.

In SCORM 2004, a module is considered Complete only if you viewed all slides AND at least failed every quiz that is in that module. Even if it's on a hidden slide.
In this version of the standard, the definition of the Complete status and the condition on which it can be awarded are predefined and static.

In SCORM 2004, when you enable Rate Slide / Rate quizzes, you only choose what a user needs to do in order to get the Passed status – view the slides or/and pass the quizzes.

I hope that helps.
