Is there any way to control the order of slides in a presentation via the actionscript API? The concept is to load the player into a custom shell that gives a presenter the option to reorder the slides before playback begins.

Also, would it be possible to set a variable in that shell that could be read by a Flash clip embedded in one of the slides?

No it is not possible to change the order of slides in the converted presentation. You can implement it externally by converting standalone slides and loading them into your player in the desired order.
