Hi. I'm using the iSpring converter. I'm confused about the Flash file size. For example, my PowerPoint presentation is 340 KB, but after conversion the Flash output is 1 MB. I thought the Flash file would be smaller than the PowerPoint file.

Can someone explain this? Thanks!

The size of the presentation can increase because some external resources (e.g. sounds, videos) were added to the presentation during conversion.

If you add audio to your presentation using PowerPoint option Insert --> Sound --> Sound from... the sound file works separately while you play it within PowerPoint. That is why PPT file is not large. After conversion to Flash sound is included in the SWF file - as a result the SWF file is larger than the original PPT presentation.

Makes sense. The presentation does have a large audio file. Thanks!
